B/Open: new dates and new synergies for the b2b Bio Foods and Natural Self-care show

New dates for B/Open, Veronafiere’s show specifically for certified bio foods and natural self-care: appointment for 23rd and 24th November 2020, for an exclusive B2B event.
B/Open, initially scheduled in the first semester, has been purposefully re-positioned on the Veronafiere calendar to meet the needs of exhibitors and all the sector’s professional operators, guaranteeing maximum safety conditions.
A smart two-day formula that supplements the exhibition sections with various training opportunities, debates and updates organized in collaboration with leading Italian certifying bodies, institutions and the sector’s key players. «The aim of the show is to provide concrete answers and offer growth opportunities to a sector that is expanding on a global scale, with a market value close to 100 billion euros of which almost 41 billion are developed in Europe» says Flavio Innocenzi, Commercial Manager at Veronafiere. «Very recently, the European Commission itself formalized the Farm to Fork strategy within the broader Green Deal project which aims to reach at least 25% of utilized agricultural land by 2030». In 2018, the area used for organic farming in Italy reached 1.9 million hectares (7.7% of the total) standing at third place in the EU behind Spain (2.2 million hectares) and France (2 million hectares), although Italy is in first place in terms of workers with almost 70,000.
The first edition of B/Open will be held at the same time as wine2wine, the traditional autumn event aimed at the world of wine, in order to create new synergies between two sectors that share a public of operators that specializes in the agro-food sector as well as the same consumption growth trends.
The road to B/Open, which accompanies the community of expert organic operators to the show, will feature several much-needed training events in view of these current times. Webinars featuring sector experts dealing with such themes as organic farming trend analysis during Covid, blockchains and traceability, financial tools, local bonds and micro-credit to support the sector, exports and certification schemes in the main EU and non-EU countries, will be organized and live-streamed.
