Opening on 23rd November through to the 24th is B/Open, the b2b trade show specifically for bio foods and natural self-care, on Veronafiere’s digital platform.
With the aid of technology, B/Open will be a virtual space that aims to create a network of organic farming sector experts with the purpose of meeting, educating, doing business, debating and increasing the opportunities of all those operating in an industry that the European Green Deal has acknowledged as strategic for the future of the European Union itself, for the protection of the environment, landscape and territory and to combat climate change.
76 companies, including producers, processors, certifying bodies and specialized press, had adhered to physically attend B/Open and will now be able to meet on this virtual space. Selected companies for an all-exclusive b2b trade show, among which Girolomoni, Pastificio IRIS-A.s.t.r.a. Bio, Antico Molino Rosso, Lattebusche, Ca’ Verde, Acqua Sant’Anna, Phyto Garda, Larico and many more.
B/Open’s conference programme, compiled to take an in-depth look into specific themes for the bio foods and natural self-care sector, has also been transferred onto the platform thanks to collaboration with institutions, certifying bodies, international partners, institutes, research centres and publishing groups.
B/Open’s cycle of on-line conferences will open at 10 am on 23rd November with a focus entitled «Green Deal, the race to bio. Italy: from 2 to 3 million hectares in 10 years. Policies, tools and challenges for achieving EU objectives by 2030» and will be attended by the Minister of Agriculture, Teresa Bellanova, and Hon. Paolo De Castro, S&D Coordinator at the Agriculture and Rural Development Commission, European Parliament.
Speakers will include: Elena Panichi, acting head of the Organic Unit at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development («Green Deal, Pac, Next Generation EU: strategies for the organic farming sector»); Franco Contarin, Regione Veneto – EAFRD Management and forests («Organic farming in Veneto among virtuous actions and vision by 2030»); Laura Viganò, Policy and Bio-economic Research Centre («Activities of the National Rural Network 2014-2020 regarding organic farming: our focuses»); Riccardo Meo, ISMEA Rural Development Operational Unit («Converting to organic farming: sharing innovative solutions to resolve problems»).
These will be followed by interventions from: Giuseppe Romano, AIAB Presidential Office, Riccardo Cozzo, President of ASSOCERTBIO, Enrico Amico, President of Demeter Italia, and Maria Grazia Mammuccini, President of Federbio. Journalist, Massimo Agostini, will be the conference moderator.
From a partnership with “BIOrganicLifestyle.EU” – an international project proposed by leading organizations in the Italian and Dutch organic agro-foods sector to boost consideration for the European agro-food industry in three internal markets (Germany, Italy and France) and increase the share of organic products on the European market, highlighting the specific characteristics – and from the call for Agriculture and Rural Development collaboration with top Italian institutions with regard to bio foods and natural self-care, 5 conventions have been organized on the entire programme: Democratic or specialty? The bio evolution in MD (23rd November, 4 pm), New eco-compatible materials for food (24th November, 10 am), Bio and free from in catering (24th November, 10 am), From the producer to the consumer: how to balance supply and demand towards 25% organic in 2030, 24th November, 2 pm ), Business opportunities in the organic foods sector: regulatory aspects, labelling, distribution in Italy and abroad (24th November, 4 pm).
Buyers will be attending the digital platform from Austria and the Balkans, Germany, France, Denmark, Switzerland, Slovenia, Albania, Turkey, USA, Canada and India thanks to collaboration with ICE – Agency for promoting internationalization and Italian companies abroad, and the overseas network of Veronafiere delegates.
B/Open will run alongside the Wine2Wine Exhibition which will be taking place on the same digital platform from 22nd to 24th November.
